Salon Policies & FAQ

1. CONFIRMATION POLICY

ALL appointments must be confirmed or are subject to cancellation. Out of policy cancellations and “no shows” leave gaps in our schedule that cannot be filled without timely notice. Our cancellation and reschedule policy enables us to schedule another client in a timely manner and, in turn, maintains a higher appointment availability of services for you as well as others.

2. CANCELATION POLICY & NO SHOW POLICY

Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time to avoid penalties. All cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in a 100% charge of the services scheduled and is required to be paid before rescheduling. This charge does not act as a deposit. Any appointments with a no call, no show will result in an invoice for 100% of the services scheduled of the missed appointment and a deposit will be required in order to book a future appointment at either Ritual Salon location.

3. PUNCTUALITY POLICY

Ritual Salon operates on a meticulously scheduled appointment basis. We ask that you arrive in the salon a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time so that your stylist may seat you at the start of your appointment time. If you are needing to arrive a few minutes late, we ask that you call to inform us and we reserve the right to cancel or modify your services as needed to stay on time for all following appointments. Any arrivals later than 15 minutes into your appointment time will need to be rescheduled for a future date and will result in 50% of the service charge.

4. PARKING

Santa Rosa Location: All parking in the area is paid metered or paid lot parking that is controlled and operated by the City of Santa Rosa Parking District. We are not able to validate any parking. Any and all questions regarding parking can be found on their website here.

Sebastopol Location: Located in the Downtown Sebastopol promenade parking is free for two hours. Surrounding parking, if the lot is full, is either metered parking or free and information can be found on their website here.

5. NO GUEST POLICY| NO VISITORS DURING SERVICE

Due to the nature of our busy salon and limited space, we kindly request that no additional guests be present in the salon while a client is receiving a service. This includes friends, family members, or other acquaintances.
Exceptions for Minors: We understand the importance of parental supervision, especially for clients under 18 years old. In such cases, one parent or guardian is allowed to accompany the minor during the service.

6. CHILD POLICY

To guarantee the comfort of all of our clientele, we do not allow children in the salon. Ritual Salon + Style Bar is not responsible for fallen through childcare. Failure to follow this policy will result in the appointment needing to be rescheduled and will result in a last minute cancellation fee. Any appointments booked for anyone under 14 years old will need a guardian in attendance.

7. DOG POLICY

As much as we love your furry family, we ask that you leave your pets at home. Service animals are of course allowed but must be vested to display their duty to you. Ritual Salon + Style Bar reserves the right to remove any aggressive or uncontrollable service animals per ada.gov Q25 - Q30.

8. OUR PRICING WITHIN THE INDUSTRY

Ritual salon is an education based salon. All of our stylists come from rigorous multi-year training programs. Additionally we strive to keep them at their fullest potential and continuously reinvest our profits back into our stylists' education. All stylists frequently spend their time off attending cut and color classes to keep them up to date. We strive to offer services that are at the top of the industry and feel that our prices fairly reflect the time and money that we invest.

9. SATISFACTION POLICY

Ritual Salon + Style Bar understands that sometimes small adjustments here and there may be needed to reach your desired hair goal. We are always here to go above and beyond so that you’re loving the result of your hair. As a small business, we want to hear from you, and genuinely want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to make things right. If ever you’re not fully loving your hair, do not hesitate and do not second guess- reach out to us directly. We kindly ask that you please reach out to us within 2 weeks of your original service so that we can do everything we can to have you feeling and looking like your very best self. We are here for you!

10. COLOR CORRECTION POLICY

ALL color corrections require an in person consultation prior to an appointment being booked. Consultations are 15 minutes in duration and complimentary. This consultation allows the stylist to have a full in-depth look at the current status of your hair and gives a starting point for the correction. Color corrections start at $125 an hour and typically are between 3-6 hours on a case by case basis. Even with a consultation we cannot guarantee a final outcome or ticket cost as corrections are frequently evolving and changing during the process. Ritual Salon + Style Bar and its stylists reserve the right to refuse color corrections that we deem to be unsafe for the clients hair integrity and or unachievable.

10. EXTENSIONS POLICY

ALL first time hair extension installations require an in person consultation. Consultations are 15 minutes and complimentary. This consultation is to discuss the various extension methods, lengths, and color matching. The hair, once ordered after the consult, arrives at the salon roughly one week after ordering. After your consultation we will book your installation appointment.

11. BALAYAGE vs. HIGHLIGHTS

Balayage is a hand painted lightening service using a clay based lightener. Based on your consultation, your stylist can create an array of dimensions at various heights using this technique. The grow out is typically softer and more natural than a highlight. Balayage is intended to replicate natural sun created highlights.

Being that a different type of lightener that dries out quicker is used, you typically will not get as light with a balayage as you would a highlight.

Highlights are foiled in and typically come all the way to the scalp. Being that they are in foils, you will typically get brighter with this method than balayage. The grow out will leave more of a strong root line behind. With this method you will maximize your blonde.

Both services typically require a toner every 6-8 weeks to keep the color salon fresh!

Wedding FAQ

HOW DO I RESERVE RITUAL SALON FOR MY WEDDING?

To secure a date, a signed contract is required with minimums met and credit card information. A $300 non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of completed previews OR upon signing if no previews are requested. Please be advised that a date and the services of Rituals artistic team will only be reserved once a signed contract and credit card information are received. All bookings are first come, first serve.

IS THERE A SERVICE MINIMUM?

We require a 5 service group (hair or makeup) minimum on weddings Friday-Sunday and a 3 service minimum on weddings Monday-Thursday. There is no minimum requirement needed to be met for weddings and wedding parties in the salon. However if your party exceeds more than three there is a $75/HOUR fee to use the space.

HOW DOES THE PREVIEW WORK?

The trial is  a "preview" and consultation of your wedding day hair and or makeup. Each bride is different and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and ensure we can accomplish your vision! We ask in advance for you to send us hair and/or makeup inspiration pics and a selfie. We also encourage your feedback and any adjustments you'd like us to make for the day of. Our goal is for you to feel 100% comfortable and happy with your bridal look!

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY PREVIEW?

Our personal Suggestion is to schedule your bridal previews no further out than 4 months prior to your date so you can really hone in on the vision you are looking for. Weekdays are best for the bulk of our team during peak season, as our weekends we are likely to be on location servicing other weddings.

DO YOU WORK WITH LARGER PARTIES?

Yes. Ritual is a team of contracted artists and stylists. If we need extra hands for your big day, we have them!

ARE LASHES INCLUDED WITH YOUR MAKEUP APPLICATIONS?

Yes! The Client will have the choice between a strip, or individual lashes (if desired)
